It took a little longer than expected, but the shield feature has been successfully added to the project. The Shield feature allows players to surround the Earth in a shield to protect it from incoming objects.

I expect to release a new version of the demo software in a week. This build will include the Earth shield and hopefully an added enemy ship (Alien AI).
